When it comes to the dating scene in New York, it’s a jungle out there. However an Ivy League-educated surgeon is proof that not even looks, status and financial security can give you a head start in the love stakes. Doctor Emil Chynn, who was educated at Harvard, posted a personal ad in the alumni magazine of Columbia University – offering a $10,000 donation to charity for an introduction to the woman of his dreams.

The ad appeared in the classified section of the University’s Spring 2012  edition, it was reported.

According to the Huffington Post, the advert reads: ‘LASEK SURGEON: Featured in NY Times/Wall Street Journal.

‘Dartmouth, Columbia, Harvard, Emory, NYU degrees. Seeks smart, sweet, skinny SWF 30 for marriage.

‘$10,000 donation to your charity for intro! dr@ParkAvenueLASKEK.com.’

While Dr Chynn, who runs a practice in Kipps Bay, has not elaborated any further on the advert, it would seem the 43-year-old’s search for the right lady has been fraught with difficulty in recent years.

The job was advertised offering rent-free living in a studio flat on Park Avenue and the job description included reactivating Dr Chynn’s match.com profile and ‘trolling’ the website for potential dates because he did not have time to do it himself.

The successful candidate would also have been required to spend an hour a day ‘walking’ on his back or – if they weighed more than 115lbs – simply giving him a ‘deep massage’.

According to the Huffington Post, the assistant who succeeded in finding him a wife, the ad said, would be given a cash bonus.  The advert added: ‘My parents will give you reward of $10,000 in cash, ie bills, so that’s a bonus!’

The Philadelphia man, known only as Michael, sent a detailed questionnaire to at least one of the women he met on the website.

But the list of numbered questions – in multiple choice and essay format – including pleas to rank his outfit, his hair and undoubtedly good looks, sent a woman he e-mailed it to running in the other direction.

Sadly, the lucky lady couldn’t resist the urge to forward it on to Deadspin.com.

‘First impression,’ begins the first section. ‘Please rate Mike’s outfit on a scale of 1-10, with a higher score associated with how much you wanted to take the outfit off.’

Then follows: ‘Mike is very self conscious about his hair. Does he have any reason to be?’

‘Please list any physical attributes of Mike that need improvement (e.g. Mike’s butt needs some toning),’ it continues.

‘Note: Mike’s butt does not need any toning,’ he writes in subtext, lest the lady forget.

Questions follow about the evening out, crying for detailed answers about the gentleman’s conversation skills, manners, and suggestively questionable masculinity.

At the end of the survey he inquires about… the survey.

The woman who forwarded the ‘Date Response Form’, as Mike calls it, told Deadspin she briefly dated him before deciding they had little in common.

Then, she received they survey from the 24-year-old via email with a quote from Romeo and Juliet in the subject line:’Good Night, Good night! Parting is such sweet sorrow, that I shall say good night till it be morrow.’

‘He struck me as a little socially inept hence why I was starting to doubt the “non-physical” attraction,’ she told the website, describing him as a finance guy who is ‘six feet, overall moderately attractive.’

‘He wasn’t too creepy, just the type of guy who over-analyzes every detail and feels completely awkward in the majority of social situations. It didn’t seem like he got out much,’ she added.

Mike is certainly not the first online dater to make headlines for his lack of social grace.

Match.com member David Merkur, a 28-year-old investment banker from New York, used Microsoft Excel to record each of the women’s characteristics as well as progress reports on how his dates with them went.

The chart went public after he e-mailed it to a woman he tried in vain to woo, showing her in excruciating detail why she was at the top of the list.

And if the source of her rage wasn’t at first clear, the woman from Superior, Wisconsin also flattened the tires of his truck and sprayed the word ‘cheater’ on the side.

Neighbors told the Duluth News Tribune that the couple’s divorce was finalised this week.

Drivers have been slowing down to take a look at the chaotic scene – causing enough of a disruption that local police were forced to tow the SUV. However Superior Police Sgt. William Lear pointed out that they were not concerned with the woman’s spray painting.  He said: ‘If it’s a running vehicle and someone wants to paint their own car, they can do it.’

When the fire service arrived, officers quickly discovered one of the building’s residents caught the garbage disposal chute – his head just visible from one of the latches that residents can use to put their refuse through on each floor.

He was stuck fast five storeys up the building, so police naturally had a few questions to ask.

It turns out that the 31-year-old man, who has not been named to spare his blushes, was trying to escape an argument with his girlfriend.

Or at least that’s what he said.

He would not tell the police what the row was about, and it is unclear whether the girlfriend was present when the emergency services arrived.

But the man said he jumped into the garbage chute on the eighth floor, where he shares an apartment with his girlfriend – apparently with her in hot pursuit.

Gravity then took over and the man plunged three floors – getting wedged fast in the narrowing chute.

Fire service spokeswoman Elena Tretiyachenko confirmed that they were informed of the  predicament after people in the building heard his cries for help.

She added: ‘The rescuers crew found a man, who was stuck at the fifth floor, in the garbage disposal.’

The emergency crew used a ‘jaws-of-life’ electrical cutter to freed the man from the chute. He sustained no long-term injury in the fall.

Bizarrely, this is not the first time Tyumen rescue services have had to deal with a person caught in a garbage disposal system, with a spokesman recalling another case a few years ago.

Soviet-era buildings in Russia frequently have a metal rubbish chute that delivers refuse into a collection container in the basement. Metal latches on each floor allow residents to drop rubbish into the central container without having to leave the floor of the high-rise building.

‘She’s 26. He’s 16,’ Valdes said. ‘He is her student and a subordinate to her, so while there’s no evidence that she coerced him or forced him physically, legally he cannot consent.’

Leone was arrested later in the day and released on $100,000 bond.

Her attorney, Ronald Ricci, says his client plans to plead not guilty to the charges.

The social studies teacher allegedly had two encounters with the teenage boy in April, including one encounter in a school classroom.

The other encounter occurred at the teacher’s home and allegedly involved sexual intercourse.

The prosecutor said there were no signs that anyone was coerced, but the relationship was not legal.

According to the arrest warrant, Grissom was driving to work when she saw her ex-husband at a boat landing.

She stopped to take a photo of him for litigation related to their divorce.

Sheriff Sexton says several witnesses watched as the man made an obscene gesture and the woman opened fire around 8am yesterday morning.

Authorities say the woman called 911 after using all her ammunition and told them she shot her ex-husband.

Tracey Grissom was the alleged victim in the rape and sodomy charges, according to Tuscaloosa County District Attorney Tommy Smith.

According to WSFA.com, Tracey Grissom told police she was raped and sodomized by Hunter Grissom in November 2010.

She reported that he bound her legs with his belt, dragged her from their closet into their master bedroom and sexually assaulted her.

Tracey told police she was then knocked unconscious on the floor of their bathroom and didn’t wake up until the next morning.

She went to the hospital for treatment following the alleged attack, and paperwork shows she had a gash on her head, bruises, bind marks on her feet and writing on her arm.

Court records show the couple have a four-year-old daughter together.

‘Dustie’ Dawn McGrew, who works at the Butterfield Youth Services in the area is alleged to have had sex with the teen in the back seat of her car while other boys were in the same vehicle.

The 31 year old is alleged to have placed a placed a jacket between the headrests to prevent the other teens from seeing everything.

Several witnesses told police McGrew and the boy reportedly had sex on several occasions in a variety of locations, including in her car and at a park. McGrew, denied any inappropriate activity with the teen when questioned by police.

The youth services worker said she had a ‘mother-son’ relationship with the boy.

According to an arrest warrant McGrew met the boy while working at Butterfield Youth Services in Marshall.

Married to husband David for nine years, McGrew graduated in 1999 from Crest Ridge High School and has posted hundreds of pics of her young family onto social networking sites.

Speaking about her job as a care-worker entrusted with the care of minors, McGrew has posted to Facebook: ‘I work at Butterfields and love my job, it can be trying somedays but at the end of the day i know i am doing what i should be!’

Her husband David is listed on Facebook as an employee of Wal-Mart and declares a love for playing the drums and tattoo art.

McGrew faces charges of statutory rape and statutory sodomy.
She was booked into custody with bond set at $15,000.
